It must be the quiet outside that makes you think you are in a void.
Painting lately has been full of wanderings and explorations. Something about the cold weather of the winter has had me seeking color. Things went grey for a while outside, but inside there’s been all kinds of color colliding.
Bodies together, pink and vibrant, under covers, and intertwined. Somehow it is good to think of things against darkness. Like we are forming ourselves in something more than the routines of the everyday, but instead the movements of biology, matter, and chemistry that comprise the universe.
I’ve been working through paint to move towards those movements.
Comprising bodies to form a vessel holding light and color.
